Steps to Create a Text Mask in Canva
1. Start Your Design: Open Canva and begin any design project, such as a social media post or greeting card.
2. Access Frames: Click on Elements in the sidebar. Scroll across the top menu, select Frames, and then click See all to view all frame options.
3. Choose and Position Your Letter Frames: Scroll down within the Frames section to find the letter-shaped frames. Select the letters you need and arrange them in the desired position.
4. Upload Your Image: Click on Uploads from the sidebar and upload the image you want to use in the text mask.
5. Drag the Image into the Frame: Drag the uploaded image into the desired letter frame. Simply clicking on the image will add it to the design, not inside the frame, so make sure to drag it.
6. Edit the Image within the Frame: Once the image is inside the frame, double-click it to enter editing mode. Drag the image to reposition it or resize it by zooming in/out to adjust the visible area.
Helpful Tips:
- Group Letter Frames for Easy Adjustments: If you need to move or resize multiple letter frames at once, select them all and click Group. To ungroup, select them again and click Ungroup.
- Adjust Transparency for Unique Effects: To adjust the transparency of an image within a frame, select the frame and click on the Transparency button (represented by a mosaic-like icon).
