How to embed google sheets into notion

In this tutorial, I’ll show you two easy ways to embed Google Sheets into your Notion pages. Not only will you be able to display your data directly in Notion, but you can also edit the embedded tables right within the platform. Follow along to learn how to seamlessly integrate Google Sheets and start working with your data in Notion!

Here are the steps to embed a Google Sheet by using its URL:

-Embedding the Google Sheet:

1. Input: Type "/embed" and select Embed.

2. Copy Link: Copy the link of the target Google Sheet.

3. Paste Link: Paste the copied link into the Embed link box.

4. Click Embed: Click Embed link to complete the embedding process.

5. Edit: After embedding, you can edit the Google Sheet directly in Notion.

-Sharing the Embedded Sheet:

If you want to allow your team members to edit the sheet, you need to adjust the sharing settings in Google Sheets:

1. Click Share: Click the Share button in your Google Sheet.

2. Change Access: Click Restricted and then select Anyone with the link.

3. Set Permissions: Adjust the permissions for people with the link. You can choose View or Edit based on your needs.

4. Done: Click Done to save the changes. There's no need to re-embed the sheet; your team members just need to refresh the page.

Here are the steps on how to embed a spreadsheet from Google Drive:

You can embed more than just tables through Google Drive, including Docs and PDF files. However, these are generally not editable and appear as images. To access Google Drive, please click here. Below are the steps to embed files from Google Drive.

  1. Type /drive to bring up Google Drive.

2. Select Browse Google Drive.

3. Click Connect Google account.

4. On first use, you'll be prompted with some login permissions—just click Continue.

5. Once connected, return to Notion and click Embed Google Drive again.

6. Select Browse Google Drive. You should now see your account.

7. Click on your personal account to view all files in your Google Drive within Notion.

8. Select the file you want to embed and click Select.

9. Return to Notion and you’ll see the embedded file.
