How to change cell color notion

12/23/2024

When managing projects or data in Notion, you may want to use color to highlight certain rows or columns. While Notion's built-in features do not support changing the color of the entire table or individual cells at once, you can easily apply color to entire rows or columns to make the structure of your table clearer and key information stand out. If you want a consistent color across the whole table, simply apply the same color to each row or column.

Change the Color of an Entire Row

To highlight an entire row in your table with a color, follow these steps:

1. Select the Row: Click on the row you want to change the color of.

2. Click the Six Small Dots: You'll see six small dots to the left of the row. Click on them.

3. Click "Color": In the dropdown menu, click on the Color option.

4. Choose a Color: Select the color you'd like to apply.

Change the Color of an Entire Column

To change the color of a whole column, follow these steps:

1. Select the Column: Click on the column you want to change the color of.

2. Click the Six Small Dots: You'll see six small dots at the top of the column. Click on them.

3. Click "Color": In the dropdown menu, click on the Color option.

4. Choose a Color: Select the color you want to apply.
