Notion is a powerful tool for organization and productivity, but even the best of us can accidentally delete important pages. Fortunately, you can easily access the Trash feature in Notion to recover or permanently delete your lost work. Here’s how to navigate this process effectively.
Step 1: Locate the Trash Icon
At the bottom of the left sidebar in the Notion app, you'll find the Trash icon, which resembles a garbage bin. This is your gateway to accessing deleted pages.
Step 2: Click on the Trash Icon
Once you’ve located the Trash icon, click on it. This action will take you to a view where all your recently deleted pages are stored.
Step 3: Review Deleted Pages
In the Trash view, you can browse through the list of deleted pages. Here, you have the option to either restore them to their original locations or permanently delete them if you’re sure you no longer need them.
Note:
- Pages in the Trash are not stored indefinitely.
- Notion regularly empties the Trash, and starting June 17, 2024, the default storage time will be 30 days. Business users can customize these settings.
- If you delete an important page, please restore it as soon as possible.
Additional Information:
- Deleting a parent page will also delete all its child pages.
- Entries deleted from a database (like a row in a table) are treated as individual pages and will appear in the Trash.
